Cinerent chooses Panasonic technology for shooting in high definition.
Milan September, 2004 – Cinerent, one of the most important rental companies specialising in the film market has chosen Panasonic HD technology, including two Varicam variable-frame HD camcorders (AJ-HDC27FE), 1 DVCPROHD VTR (AJ-HD1200AE) and 2 HD 18” monitors (BT-LH1800E).
Cinerent, working closely with Moovie People, rents all over Italy and continental Europe hiring 35mm and 16mm film cameras. “We felt the need to update our equipment to market needs” stated Mario Maronati, President of Cinerent. “The market more and more is demanding digital technology rather than film”.

The sale has been made through Panasonic dealer Videotecnica, based in Milan.

Salvatore Palillo, General Manager of Panasonic Broadcast Italy, said, “During these past months, we have put a major effort into Panasonic products. We are therefore very happy to have closed this sale with Cinerent, one of the most dynamic film rental companies in the Milan area.”

The AJ-HDC27FE is the world’s first variable-frame rate progressive-scan high definition camera with cine-gamma function designed for use in a wide range of media, including films, episodic television and commercials to DVDs, web streaming, music videos and documentaries.
