AG-GH4U Featuring Unlimited 4K Video Recording and V-Log L Compatibility
To Meet Professional Needs for Videography

Osaka , Japan (September 2nd, 2015) – Panasonic is proud to introduce an ultimate photo/video hybrid Digital Single Lens Mirrorless (DSLM) camera AG-GH4U. In response to the demand of film production market, unlimited 4K video recording and V-Log L video recording capability are available on the new AG-GH4U in addition to the high performance and functionality of conventional AG-GH4U.

The AG-GH4U is capable of unlimited*1 4K video recording (Cinema 4K: 4096 x 2160 / 24 fps and QFHD 4K: 3840 x 2160 / up to 30 fps) in MOV/MP4*1. The AG-GH4U can also record Full-HD video with ultra high bitrate up to 200 Mbps (ALL-Intra) without recording duration limit*1. Users can freely choose the format from MOV, MP4, AVCHD Progressive and AVCHD at a variety of frame rates according to the usage.

Log recording offers exceptional flexibility as well as wider dynamic range for color grading in post-production process. V-Log / V-Log L have been developed to feature similar characteristic curve to Cineon which is a characteristic curve of film digitalization. V-Log L boasts the log characteristic that is equivalent to the V-Log and curve characteristics provided on the VariCam 35*2. Its 12-stop wide dynamic range accommodates cinema production work requiring post-process color gradation.

Succeeding all the essence from AG-GH4U – high picture quality, high-speed response and ease-of-use as well as a host of advanced video recording options, the AG-GH4U further evolves to enhance the usability for all film creators to use it in more creative, flexible way.

  • *1 Use SDXC/SDHC Memory Card compatible with UHS Speed Class 3 (U3) when using high bitrate video recording mode of 100 Mbps or higher.
  • *2 The VariCam35 V-Log has 14+ stops. V-Log L boasts the log characteristic with 12 stops. Both V-Log and V-Log L have the same characteristic curve and LUT (Look Up Table) can be utilized in common.
