Based on the Micro Four Thirds™ system standard and featuring a 10.2-megapixel Live MOS sensor, LUMIX BGH1 delivers professional-level image quality. The sensor features Dual Native ISO technology developed for Panasonic VariCam professional cinema-cameras and leverages a dual-base ISO setting that reduces noise while maximizing image quality from low to high sensitivity. The sensor partners with Venus Engine to deliver a maximum ISO 51200/Extended ISO 204800 for minimal noise at high sensitivity and more beautiful reproduction of dark areas in the frame. A low-pass filter effectively suppresses moiré. BGH1 meets demand for professional-level videography in low-light conditions.

Wide Dynamic Range of
13 Stops with V-Log L
V-Log L comes preinstalled for 13 stops of dynamic range. Users enjoy impressively accurate color reproduction with subtle gradations from dark areas to highlights. Since V-Log L has the same V-Gamut characteristics as V-Log, LUTs used with V-Log can also be used in color-grading and footage from VariCam series cameras can be included seamlessly in the edit.
Multiple Recording Modes
LUMIX BGH1 offers multiple recording modes used for cinema, broadcasting, and other professional applications. In addition to C4K/4K 60p/50p 4:2:0 10-bit, C4K/4K 30p/25p/24p 4:2:2 10-bit, and ALL-Intra 400 Mbps recording, anamorphic 4K recording is also supported with unlimited recording offered on all settings. This camera delivers the quality, flexibility, and creativity that professionals demand in the widest possible range of video production environments.
C4K/4K 60p 10-bit Internal/External
10-bit video-recording capability provides robust color-profiles for an advanced post-production workflow. LUMIX BGH1 offers simultaneous C4K/4K 60p/50p 4:2:0 10-bit internal recording and C4K/4K 60p/50p 4:2:2 10-bit live output for external recording via HDMI. The software doesn’t limit you to one camera; you can take full control of multiple cameras tethered to your PC. Now there’s no need to physically go to each camera just to change a simple setting.

Simultaneous SDI/HDMI Output
BGH1 meets the needs of professional videographers working in the widest range of video production situations and is the first LUMIX camera to feature an SDI (3G-SDI) terminal. The connection supports 1080p output, ensures stable connectivity over extended cable runs, and enables external monitoring. Simultaneous external recording via HDMI output and remote control via USB or LAN tethering deepen your video-production capabilities.

Genlock IN and Timecode IN/OUT
With multi-camera control and live-streaming in mind, BGH1 delivers another LUMIX first with Genlock IN. When used in combination with timecode, the function facilitates high-precision editing. Synchronizing to the frame based on an external input signal, Genlock IN achieves perfect synchronization of multiple cameras for live sports and other challenging applications. Feeds connect seamlessly even when using a video switcher. Furthermore, timecode is embedded directly in the video for high-precision drone shooting and other single-camera shoots.
