PANASONIC BROADCAST REORGANISES IN EUROPE
At the start of April 2003, Panasonic Broadcast Europe transformed itself into a single pan-European facility to provide a better technical focus for its European broadcast customers. The facility, based in Wiesbaden, Germany provides a number of product and marketing support functions including the key role to act as the technical interface between Panasonic's national sales companies, the customers and Matsushita AVC Company in Japan which is responsible for development and manufacturing of all broadcast and video professional products.

Robert Pascher, Manager, European Broadcast Marketing, Panasonic Broadcast Europe, said The 'new' PBE ensures that the specific product needs of European broadcast customers are properly investigated and understood before being discussed with the product development and product planning in Japan. This will improve Panasonic's ability to develop the products which the customers really want and get them to market much faster. A vital part of this process is ensuring our new products meet the relevant technical standards, so PBE continues to maintain a close relationship with various professional bodies such as the EBU and IRT etc.
