NEW DVD RECORDER TARGETS PROFESSIONAL APPLICATIONS
Panasonic launched a new professional DVD-RAM/DVD-R recorder at IBC, the LQ-DRM200. The product has a range of features designed to interface with the professional production environment. Applications include use in edit suites, newsrooms, recording station outputs for regulatory purposes, playout for small stations, archiving and a wide range of specialised display and training functions.

The LQ-DRM200 has an external control terminal enabling it to be controlled by a PC. This is supported by a range of professional interfaces including composite video BNC output, component video RCA output and IEEE1394 DV input. The recorder also has the ability to handle DV straight from the camera. The recorder also has interfaces for PCMCIA and SD cards, ideal for importing graphic files such as JPEG.
