HD PRODUCTION ORDERS IN ITALY
Panasonic Italia has taken important orders for HD production equipment from the Italian rental market and corporate production market.

Solaris/Videogang, based in Milan, a company that specialises in fashion videos, has purchased a Panasonic Varicam, Variable Frame Rate camcorder (AJ-HDC27FE) and DVCPROHD VTR (AJ-HD1200AE).
President, Sergio Salerni, a pioneer of video production in the Italian fashion market, said, “In the world of fashion, quality is key, and that is why we have chosen Panasonic products, the state of art in HD digital technology”. Production Manager, Federico Airoldi, said the filmic quality of Varicam pictures combined with the price performance of Panasonic HD products were key factors in the purchase decision.

CINERENT, one of the most important rental companies in the Italian film world, has purchased two Varicam, variable-frame HD camcorders (AJ-HDC27FE) and a DVCPROHD VTR DVCPROHD (AJ-HD1200AE) as well as monitors (HD 18” BT-LH1800E). Cinerent rents film cameras all over Italy and Europe.

Mario Maronati, President of CINERENT, “The market is demanding more and more digital technology rather than film.” Both orders were through Panasonic dealer Videotecnica.

Another rental company purchasing Varicam and a DVCPROHD VTR is ADRENT, based in Bologna. Stefano Mariani, President of ADRENT said “The Italian rental market is now very interested in HD shooting. Progressive production is ideal for the corporate market including advertising, DVD, web and video music, documentary, TV programmes and theatrical production.” Panasonic dealer, ADCOM supplied the equipment.
