Panasonic Corporation will introduce the AG-HMR10U new recorder and AG-HCK10G optional camera head for AG-HMR10U in AVCCAM*2 series in October 2009. To allow users of tape media to smoothly transition to the AVCHD*3 system, the AG-HMR10U will be bundled with “EDIUS Neo 2” video editing software from Thomson Canopus (manufacturer’s suggested retail price: 29,800 Yen, tax included) for a limited time (October 2009 to March 2010).

The AG-HMR10U is the world’s first*4 compact AVCHD recorder capable with HD-SDI input and output functions. AG-HMR10U records up to 180 minutes of high quality HD video at a full-pixel HD sampling rate of 1,920 x 1,080 dots in a professional use-quality PH mode (maximum bit rate: 24 Mbps*5) same as AG-HMC155 and up to 720 minutes of video using the HE mode (average bit rate: 6 Mbps) onto a 32GB SDHC memory card with ultra-reliable performance and resistance to shock, vibration and extreme temperatures and weather.

The optional camera head AG-HCK10G features three MOS sensors with a total effective number of 2.51 million pixels. AG-HCK10G and AG-HMR10U are connected with optional cable (maximum 20meters) and AG-HMR10U can control AG-HCK10 camera functions such as zoom, iris, focus and others by its front panel buttons. AG-HMR10U with AG-HCK10G are ideal for full-pixel HD applications in video production, sports coaching, healthcare, law enforcement, remote operation/ surveillance, and much more.

The AG-HMR10U and AG-HCK10G will be exhibited at BIRTV2009, the International Broadcasting Equipment Exhibition which will be held in Beijing from Wednesday, August 26, to Saturday, August 29, at the China International Exhibition Center (CIEC). Our booth will be located in CIEC Hall 3. The largest such exhibition in China, BIRTV2009 is sponsored by the State Administration of Radio, Film, and Television of China.
