New products in “P2HD” series of semiconductor memory card recording system
The AJ-HPM200 video recorder with mobile editing functions that supports Gb Ethernet and eSATA interfaces for high-speed data transfer
As optional, AVCHD data play, mutual file conversion with P2 files, and fast AVCHD file transfer
In October 2009, Panasonic Corporation will release the AJ-HPM200 memory card recorder for professional use,. This is a new product in the P2HD series.

This product, the AJ-HPM200, features the latest broadcasting video codec, AVC-Intra (in compliance with MPEG-4 AVC/H.264) as standard, and records HD SDI video signals at full high definition (1,920 x 1,080 pixels, 10 bits, and 4:2:2 sampling) as MXF files on a P2 card, a large-capacity and high-reliability memory card for professional use.

As an option, it can record footage simultaneously in AVCHD*1 and P2 formats and play AVCHD file captured by AVCCAM*2 series camera recorders or consumer-use AVCHD digital high-definition camera recorders. It can also convert AVCHD files to or from P2 files with optional AVCHD codec board. Furthermore, this recorder is equipped with a Gb Ethernet and eSATA interface as standard. These allow news materials that have been recorded using a P2HD camera to be edited onsite, converted into highly compressed AVCHD files*3, and transferred to the broadcasting station at high speed. The corresponding news flash can be air-played as high-picture quality HD video.

This product*5 will be shown at the International Broadcasting Equipment Exhibition “BIRTV 2009” (sponsored by the State Administration of Radio, Film, and Television of China), the largest-scale exhibition in China, to be held at the China International Exhibition Center (CIEC, Beijing) from today, Thursday 26th to Friday 29th August. Our booth will be located in CIEC Hall 3.
