AG-AC160 firmware free version up for 1080/59.94p and 1080/50p recording
InterBEE, Chiba, Japan (November 16th, 2011) -- Panasonic corporation announced new firmware for its AVCCAM handheld camera recorder AG-AC160 will be available in spring 2012. The new firmware will allow AG-AC160 to record in full HD progressive formats complying with AVCHD progressive standard.
When new firmware is installed on AG-AC160, it can capture and record onto SD memory cards (SDXC/SDHC/SD)*1 in full HD progressive 1080/59.94p or 1080/50p format*2 complying with AVCHD progressive standard. LPCM audio recording is also available while its format is AVCHD progressive.
Panasonic corporation schedules to release new firmware on its web site “Service and Support” of https://pro-av.panasonic.net/en/ in spring 2012 to allow the customers download it for free. The customers can update AG-AC160 firmware with SD memory card.
*1: SDXC/SDHC/SD memory card Class 6 or higher is required.
*2: Output signals from HD SDI or HDMI terminals are converted to 1080/59.94i or 1080/50i. 1080/59.94p or 1080/50p signals can’t be output from the terminals.
