Panasonic has announced the launch of the AK-UC4000, 4K studio camera that is equipped with a 4.4K sensor and supports UHD 12G-SDI output*1 and high-speed HD shooting*2, and the AK-UCU600 camera control unit (CCU) for this camera in March 2018.
The AK-UC4000 offers 4K acquisition in a wide range of settings, providing the high video quality that is only possible with a large image sensor, along with the advanced technologies such as HDR, BT.2020 and high-speed HD shooting. The camera keeps up with diversifying systems with features such as 12G-SDI, TICO*3 outputs over SDI (4K over 3G-SDI) and MoIP*4, making it suitable not only for studio production but for a wide range of operations such as sports and events. In addition to the launch of the AK-UC4000 studio camera, the new AK-UCU600 CCU will simultaneously go on sale. The AK-UCU600 possesses a number of powerful features while still having a compact size, including multiple format output with simultaneous UHD, HD outputs. High-speed 2x, 3x or 4x HD output is also available, supporting a wide range of slow motion server, when the AK-UC4000 is used in HD mode. Not only does it have these features, but also the camera system supports UHD 12G-SDI output (x2) and TICO output (x1) over 3G HD-SDI as a standard feature.
With high video quality and a system that can be adapted to various situations, the AK-UC4000 enables the level of high-end production that is needed in the 4K age.
