April 14, 2021
Osaka, Japan (April 14, 2021) – Panasonic Corporation has announced the release of the AK-HUC01 4K/12G-SDI Interface Kit, which will enable the AK-HC3900 HD Studio Camera System to be used as a 4K camera. It is scheduled for release in April 2021.
The AK-HUC01 is an optional kit that can output high-quality 4K video signals with a horizontal and vertical resolution of 2,000 TV lines through the AK-HC3900 system. During use, the 4K Optical Low Pass Filter is attached to the AK-HC3900 and the 4K Output Board is attached to the AK-HCU250 Camera Control Unit (CCU).
In addition, connecting to an AK-HCU250 Camera Control Unit (CCU) fitted with a 4K output board enables support for various output interfaces, such as 12G-SDI output and 3G-SDI Quad Link output, in addition to the HD-SDI output mounted on the CCU unit. This provides high operability in the field of 4K video production. The AK-HUC01 also offers exceptional functionality comparable to high-end 4K models, including support for ITU-R BT.2020, which enables expressive video over a wide color gamut, and simultaneous output with BT.709.
Panasonic aims to create A Better Life, A Better World. Its studio camera systems offer high video quality and excellent ease-of-use, continuing to provide new value to the live production industry.
