About NDI® upgrade for Panasonic cameras
There are some models that require activation in order to use NDI®. Please refer to the following to perform the activation.
- Vizrt NDI AB announced that they will cease distributing camera upgrade licenses as of June 2025.
Please visit Vizrt NDI AB's web page for details. - For the AW-UE150W/K, AW-HE145W/K, AW-UE50W/K, AW-UE40W/K, and AG-CX350, we start providing firmware from December 2024 to April 2025 that will activate NDI® at no cost without having to use the NDI® upgrade license provided by Vizrt NDI AB. For details about the schedule and activation procedures for each model, please find the below explanations.
- * NDI® is a video connectivity technology and is registered as a trademark by Vizrt NDI AB in the United States and other countries.

- Please access the Vizrt NDI AB web page to obtain an upgrade license. Activation can be performed through the software platform Media Production Suite (Free).
Please refer to the Device View function section of the operation manual on the Media Production Suite download page for information on how to activate the software.
- * In April 2025, we plan to provide firmware that will activate NDI® free of charge without having to use the upgrade license provided by Vizrt NDI AB, and products to be shipped subsequently will also be compatible with NDI® as a standard feature.

- NDI® activation firmware is available. If NDI® is not activated on your camera yet, please update the firmware by visiting the following web page and NDI® will be activated.

- For AW-HE40SW/SK, AW-HE40HW/HK, AW-HE38HW/HK, AW-HE38SW/SK*1, AW-HE35SW/SK*1 ver. 1.67 or earlier, access the following URL to upgrade the firmware version of the camera, then access the Vizrt NDI AB web page and follow the instructions provided to perform the upgrade.
- For AW-UE70 series ver. 1.38 or later, AW-HE40SW/SK, AW-HE40HW/HK, AW-HE38HW/HK, AW-HE38SW/SK*1, AW-HE35SW/SK*1 ver. 1.68 or later, no firmware version upgrade of the camera is required. Please access the Vizrt NDI AB web page and follow the instructions provided to perform the upgrade.

- AW-HE130W/K (Discontinued model)
- For AW-HE130W/K ver. 2.22 or earlier, access the following URL to upgrade the firmware on the camera, then access the Vizrt NDI AB web page and follow the instructions provided to perform the upgrade.
- For AW-HE130W/K ver. 2.23 or later, no firmware upgrade of the camera is required. Please access the Vizrt NDI AB web page and follow the instructions provided to perform the upgrade.
