Exposure map mode

Check the exposure using the exposure map.

Set [MENU] → [OUTPUT SETTINGS] → [VF SDI EI ASSIST] → [EXPOSURE MAP SW] to [ON].

Image will be displayed with colors sored by luminosity signals. Images of other levels are displayed in black and white.

The exposure map can be displayed through output from the <VF SDI> terminal.

Display pattern of the exposure map can be set in [MENU] → [OUTPUT SETTINGS] → [VF SDI EI ASSIST] → [EXPOSURE MAP SEL].

Display patterns

When [EXPOSURE MAP SEL] is set to [FALSE] and [MAIN COLOR] is set to [V-Log]

Color	Level	Description
(Red)	(White clip −3%) or more*	White-level clip
(Yellow)	(White clip −6%) to (White clip −3%)*	Lower area of the white-level clip
(Pink)	48.7% - 51.8%	One-stopover color from neutral gray
(Green)	40.5% - 43.6%	18% gray neutral color
(Blue)	10.3% - 13.2%	Upper area of the black-level clip
(Purple)	7.3% - 10.3%	Black-level clip

The white clip level will differ according to the [EI] and [MAIN CODEC] settings.

When [EXPOSURE MAP SEL] is set to [FALSE] and [MAIN COLOR] is set to anything other than [V-Log]

(Red)	(White clip −1%) or more* ¹	White-level clip
(Yellow)	98% - 100%	100% level of video output
(Green)*²	74% - 76%	75% level of HLG = 100% level when converted to SDR
(Blue)	2.5% - 4.0%	Upper area of the black-level clip
(Purple)	0% - 2.5%	Black-level clip

The white clip level will differ according to the [EI] and [MAIN CODEC] settings.

Displayed only when [SCENE FILE SETTINGS] → [GAMMA] → [GAMMA SELECT] is set to [HLG].

[EL ZONE] in [EXPOSURE MAP SEL] cannot be selected when [MENU] → [SCENE FILE SETTINGS] → [GAMMA] → [GAMMA SELECT] is set to [HLG], [BC GAMMA], [VIDEO45], or [VIDEO50].
