KAIROS Version Up History

Scheduled for February 2024: Version 1.6 for AT-KC2000/KC2000S1, AT-KC200, AT-KC1000, AT-KC100 and AT-SFC10

Applicable products: Kairos Core 2000 (AT-KC2000/KC2000S1) and Kairos Core 200 (AT-KC200)

  • Compatible with AT-KC20M1 SDI input/output board: Up to 4 boards available in the rear slot for up to 32* inputs and 16* outputs for SDI (micro-BNC connectors). AT-KC2000S1 supports up to two cards for a maximum of 16* inputs and 8* outputs.
    • * These input/output numbers are all for HD/FHD video signals.
  • More video inputs/outputs and simultaneous operation via an ST 2110 network. Also, inputs are not required to be halved, even during ST 2022-7 redundant operation.
  • Canvas Improvement: 12K (approx. 66Mpixels)*
    • * Only AT-KC2000/2000S1

  • Improved color correction: new pedestal and additional parameters for RGB and YUV corrections, and new tone curve, color temperature and matrix corrections.
  • Enhanced management of specific permissions for each user to strengthen security when multiple people are using KAIROS.
  • Streaming I/O recording for SRT, RTP, RTSP (input only), RTMP enabling contents to be recorded, saved and played back with built-in Clip Player.
  • Many other enhancements for improved functionality and operability.

  • Touch-panel support* for intuitive video selection, camera switching, clip playback, etc. via Multiviewer screen on touch-panel PCs (Windows 10 & 11 but not Mac OS)
  • Capturing still images, as well as video clips on the RAM player from KAIROS input/output video
  • 2.5D DVE support (rotation and position adjustment using X, Y and Z axes)
  • Extended support for system log, including GUI screen warnings (fan speed, power unit, etc.)

December 2022 Version 1.4.0 Upgrade

Applicable product: Kairos Core 1000 (AT-KC1000), Kairos Core 100 (AT-KC100), Kairos Control (AT-KC10C1), Kairos Control (AT-KC10C2), Kairos Creator (AT-SFC10)

  • A/B mode added to the transition faders, allowing selection and switching between A/B mode and PGM/PST mode.
  • Kairos Creator subset software is provided free of charge.* Three types of software are available without a license:
    • - Kairos Media (still image, RAM player, and clip player)
    • - Kairos Painter (title creation and other painting functions)
    • - Kairos Audio Mixer (audio mixer and player)
    • * For Kairos Creator (AT-SFC10G) licensed users. Kairos Audio Mixer requires the purchase of the audio mixer option (AT-SF005).
  • A limitation on the number of connections and ports of Deltacast FLEX modules for SDI-embedded audio output have been removed, allowing up to eight modules to be connected to KAIROS, with four ports per module and 16ch output per port available.

October 2022 Version 1.3.2 Upgrade

  • Compatible with AT-KC10C2 compact control panel for limited spaces, such as event venues and in OB vans.
  • Three redundancy functions: Kairos Core redundancy for mainframe backup, ST 2022-7 redundancy for networks (Kairos Core 1000 only), and dual power supplies.
  • RossTalk protocol (optional AT-SFE01 Software Key) supported for controlling Ross XPression real-time motion graphics.
  • System Log records equipment status and operation logs for reference.

May 2022, Version 1.2.2 Upgrade

Applicable product: Kairos Core 1000 (AT-KC1000), Kairos Core 100 (AT-KC100), Kairos Control (AT-KC10C1), Kairos Creator (AT-SFC10)

  • New Agile I/O feature realizes up to 64*1 inputs and 40*1 outputs by flexibly allocating bandwidth according to each source (no hardware update required).
  • NDI, SRT, RTMP and RTSP audio support. There are 16 channels each for NDI and SRT and 8 channels each for RTMP and RTSP.
  • SDI embedded audio output support. *2
  • Improved audio-mixer functionality includes Pre-Fader Listen (PFL) and audio-monitor output among various new features. This function requires the AT-SF005 audio mixer option.
  • New audio player can import audio files (WAV, MP3, Ogg, FLAC and AIFF) for 4-channel, 48 kHz, 24-bit audio playback.
  • *1: The Kairos Core 1000 mainframe offers a maximum 64 inputs and 40 outputs. The Kairos Core 100 mainframe with the AT-SF002 I/O option offers a maximum 48 inputs and 32 outputs. Both are best effort when all input/output sources are 1080/60i or 720/60p video.
  • *2: Up to two Deltacast FLEX modules can be connected for SDI embedded audio output. Using Port1/Port 2 of each module, up to 16 channels of audio can be output per port.

December 2021, Version 1.1.14 Upgrade

  • ST 2110 input/output audio CH setting A number of audio channel can be selected from 2/4/8 channels.
    (Fixed to 8ch with previous software version)
  • Kairos Creator support Windows 11 and macOS Monterey.
  • * With the software upgrade,
    • Only when Deltacast and ST 2110 are used simultaneously, the Deltacast port connection will change from 8 ports to 4 ports. (AT-KC100T only)
    • The number of audio streams changed from 64 streams to 32 streams.

September 2021, Version 1.1.9 Upgrade

  • Video outputs support 1080/59.94i and 1080/50i interlaced video.
    (Inputs are already supported since version 1.1.3)
  • Clip Player supports Apple ProRes files.

  • Audio mixer function (optional AT-SF005).
  • Display of audio level meters on multi-viewer.

  • Not only RTP but also SRT, RTMP and RTSP streaming are supported. The number of input channels increased to six. Each channel can be set to RTP, SRT, RTMP or RTSP. Support for video only. *2
  • AUX bus control and Macro control from LAWO vsmSNAP panel.
  • *1: Some functions may not operate depending on the GPU performance level.
  • *2: 720p video signal from Panasonic PTZ cameras is not supported. For RTSP, only input is supported. Note that RTSP input does not work with the AW-HE130W/K and AW-HR140 PTZ cameras.
