[SYSTEM SETTINGS] menu

Sets the system in general.

[SYSTEM MODE]

For the combination that can be set, refer to “Selecting the resolution, codec, and frame rate for recording video”, “Selecting the resolution and frame rate of the RAW output”.

[FREQUENCY]

Sets the system frequency.

The items that can be set are as follows.

  • [23.98p], [24.00p], [25.00p], [29.97p], [50.00p], [59.94p], [50.00i], [59.94i]

(Factory setting: [23.98p])

[SDI RAW]

Sets the RAW output resolution from the <SDI OUT> terminal.

[OFF]

Does not perform RAW output.

[S35 5.7K]

Performs the RAW output of the 5760×3072 pixels using all the pixels of the image sensor.

Allows shooting up to 30p.

[CROP 4K]

Performs the RAW output of the 4096×2160 pixels by cutting out the center section of the image sensor.

Allows shooting up to 60p. Angle of view will change.

[CROP&MIX 2K]

Performs the RAW output of the 2048×1080 pixels by cutting out the center section of the image sensor and performing the pixel mixing read.

This allows high-speed shooting up to 240p. Angle of view will change.

(Factory setting: [OFF])

[SENSOR MODE]

Sets the drive mode of the image sensor.

[S35 5.7K]

Uses the entire pixels of the image sensor.

[S35 MIX 2.8K]

Performs pixel mixing read of 2.8K from the entire image sensor.

This allows high-speed shooting up to 120p.

[4/3 CROP&MIX 2.2K]

Performs the pixel mixing read of 2.2K by cropping the Four Thirds image circle from the center of the image sensor.

This allows high-speed shooting up to 240p. Angle of view will change.

[MAIN PIXEL]

Sets the main recorder’s number of recording pixels.

The items that can be set are as follows.

Sets the recording codec of the main recorder.

[COLOR SETTINGS]

[MAIN]

Sets the colors of videos (entire camera system) recorded in the main recorder.

[V-Log]

Sets to the gamma curve that can achieve gradation and wide latitude (exposure range). A grading process after recording is required.

[SCENE1], [SCENE2], [SCENE3], [SCENE4], [SCENE5]

Sets to setting to perform detailed image quality adjustment with the camera.

When [SCENE1] to [SCENE5] is selected, the menu setting for the same scene number is enabled in the [SCENE FILE SETTINGS] menu.

(Factory setting: [V-Log])

[SDI OUT]

Sets the output image from the <SDI OUT> terminal.

  • When [MAIN] in [COLOR SETTINGS] is set to [V-Log]

[V-Log]

Outputs with the same color as the video recorded in the main recorder.

[V-709]

Outputs by converting to a color comparable to the standard CINE-LIKE. This is the setting appropriate for preview.

  • When [MAIN] in [COLOR SETTINGS] is set to [SCENE1], [SCENE2], [SCENE3], [SCENE4], or [SCENE5]

[SCENE1], [SCENE2], [SCENE3], [SCENE4], [SCENE5]

Outputs with the same color as the video recorded in the main recorder. This cannot be changed.

[HDMI OUT]

Sets the output image from the <HDMI> terminal.

  • When [MAIN] in [COLOR SETTINGS] is set to [V-Log]

[V-Log]

Outputs with the same color as the video recorded in the main recorder.

[V-709]

The function to assign the <USER 1> to <USER 9> buttons and multidial can be set.

The tally lamp will not illuminate.

[ACCESS LED]

Sets if the card access lamp is to illuminate or not.

[POWER LED]

Sets if the power lamp is to illuminate or not.

[FAN SPEED]

Sets the rotation speed of the fan.

[AUTO]

It will rotate in slow speed until the specified temperature is reached, and then it will rotate in the same speed as [FULL] when the specified temperature is reached.

[FULL]

It will always rotate in constant speed.

(Factory setting: [AUTO])

[LCD]

[BRIGHTNESS]

Adjusts the brightness of the LCD monitor.

The items that can be set are as follows.

  • [−15]…[15]

(Factory setting: [0])

[COLOR LEVEL]

Adjusts the color level of the LCD monitor color.

The items that can be set are as follows.

[CONTRAST]

Adjusts the contrast of the LCD monitor.

[BACK LIGHT]

Adjusts the brightness of the LCD monitor backlight. [0] is the standard brightness.

When [POWER LCD] is assigned to the USER button and the function is enabled, the brightness will not change even when the setting of [BACK LIGHT] is changed.

Sets the calendar (date of the built-in clock) and time.

Sets the time zone. It will switch to the time with the time difference added when the time zone setting is changed.

[DATE FORMAT]

Sets the display order of the year, month, and date of the calendar (date of the built-in clock). This is reflected to the date display of the clip information.

Displays the information of the camera.

Displays the product name of the camera.

Displays the total operation time.

[IRIS DIAL]

Displays the total number of upward rotation or downward rotation of the <IRIS> dial by updating every time it reaches 100 turns. (“T” indicates the number.)

Displays the ambient temperature of the image sensor.

[USB SERVICE MODE]

Switches to the USB service mode.

[UPDATE]

Updates the firmware.

Sets the display language.
