High-quality remote live production through NDI® High Bandwidth and NDI® HX2

With this NDI I/F Unit attached, the Live Switcher AV-UHS500 supports input and output via the high quality, low latency video transmission of NDI® High Bandwidth and the stable, low bit rate transmission of NDI® HX2. This enables the construction of IP streaming systems covering operations from video transmission to camera control using a single LAN cable and supports remote live video production at sports and other event venues.

What’s NDI® Technology

NDI® High Bandwidth and NDI® HX2 support

NDI® High Bandwidth and NDI® HX2 signals can be input directly from cameras to the AV-UHS500 with a single LAN cable. With NDI® High Bandwidth, the AV-UHS500 can be connected to a streaming PC with a single LAN cable. Up to two units can be fitted to a single AV-UHS500.

: Maximum 4 inputs (in HD mode), 2 outputs (in HD mode)
: Maximum 1 input (in 4K mode), 1 output (in 4K mode)

NDI® HX2: Maximum 2 inputs (in HD mode)

Connection with a single LAN cable

Two LAN terminals (1 Gb each) secure a maximum bandwidth of 2 GB.

Frame Synchronizer for All Inputs

All input channels feature a built-in frame synchronizer. The Genlock function also supports synchronizing systems based on external sync signals (Black burst or Tri-level).

Remote live production

When used in combination with Panasonic cameras*1 that support NDI® High Bandwidth and NDI® HX2, operations from video transmission to camera control and tally output can be performed using a single LAN cable. By supporting camera operation in addition to video transmission, this unit enables remote live video production.
