[RECORDING SETUP]

These are various types of setting items when performing camera recording and playback.

Set the system frequency, the number of lines, recording format, and recording method.

Description of settings

[FILE SPLIT]

Selects the split method of the recording file.

[ONE FILE]: The clip is recorded in one file in the AVC-LongG format to a microP2 memory card (exceeding 32 GB).

[SPLIT]: The clip is split every 4 GB regardless of the recording format.

[SHORT SPLIT]: The clip is split every 128 seconds regardless of the recording format.

  • Factory setting: [SPLIT]

The copy and export to the 32 GB microP2 memory card is not possible when a clip is made into one file.

It will be divided to recording files of approximately 128 seconds when [SHORT SPLIT] is selected, but they can be operated as a single clip when the thumbnail of the clips are operated on the P2 device. A single continuous recording time is approximately 3.5 hours. [SHORT SPLIT] is disabled in interval, one-shot, loop, and background recording modes.

[RECORDING]

Selects the recording format.

[NORMAL]: Performs standard recording.

[INTERVAL]: Performs interval recording.

[ONE SHOT]: Performs one-shot recording.

[LOOP]: Performs loop recording.

  • Factory setting: [NORMAL]

[RECORDING SETTING]

[RECORDING HOLD]

Selects whether to hold [RECORDING] settings.

[ON]: Holds the settings.

[OFF]: Does not hold the settings. It will always be [NORMAL] the next time when the power is turned on.

  • Factory setting: [OFF]

[ONE SHOT TIME]

Sets the recording duration of one-shot recording.

[1frm], [2frm], [4frm], [8frm], [16frm], [1s]

  • Factory setting: [1frm]

Sets the interval duration for interval recording.

[2frm], [4frm], [8frm], [16frm], [1s], [2s], [5s], [10s], [30s], [1min], [5min], [10min]

  • Factory setting: [2frm]

[START DELAY]

Selects whether to delay the recording start time by approximately one second when performing interval recording or one-short recording.

[ON], [OFF]

  • Factory setting: [OFF]

[PRE REC]

Selects whether to perform pre-recording. If [ON] is selected, pre-recording is performed for approximately three seconds in HD, and for approximately seven seconds in SD.

[ON], [OFF]

  • Factory setting: [OFF]

[ONE CLIP REC]

Selects whether to perform one-clip recording.

[ON], [OFF]

  • Factory setting: [OFF]

[SIMUL REC]

Selects whether to perform simultaneous recording.

[ON], [OFF]

  • Factory setting: [OFF]

[BACKGROUND REC]

Selects whether to perform background recording.

[ON], [OFF]

  • Factory setting: [OFF]

[START TEXT MEMO]

Selects whether to automatically add a text memo at recording start position each time recording is started.

[ON], [OFF]

  • Factory setting: [OFF]

[TIME STAMP]

Selects whether to superimpose [DATE]/[TIME] information on shot videos.

[ON]: Superimposes information set in the [DATE]/[TIME] item on video.

[OFF]: Does not superimpose information set in the [DATE]/[TIME] item on video.

  • Factory setting: [OFF]

[DF MODE]

Sets the counting method of the built-in time code generator.

[DF]: Uses the drop frame mode.

[NDF]: Uses the non-drop frame mode.

  • Factory setting: [DF]

[TCG]

Sets the operation mode to advance the built-in time code generator.

[FREE RUN]: Advances regardless of the operation mode.

[REC RUN]: Advances when recording is in process.

  • Factory setting: [REC RUN]

In native recording in variable frame rate mode, if the number of frames differs for shooting and recording, the time code operation will be [REC RUN].

[TC PRESET]

Sets the default value of the time code to record.

[UBG MODE]

Selects the user bits mode.

[USER]: Selects the user bits value that has been set.

[TIME]: Selects the local time. (hh, mm, ss)

[DATE]: Selects the local date and time. (YY, MM, DD, hh)

[TCG]: The value of [TCG] is recorded as user bits.

[FRAME RATE]: Selects camera imaging information (such as frame rate).

[REGEN]: Reads the value recorded to the card and continuously records that value.

  • Factory setting: [USER]

[UB PRESET]

Sets user bits. Note that [USER] must be set for [UBG MODE].

[VITC UBG MODE]

Selects the VITC user bits mode.

[USER/EXT]: When [UBG MODE] is [EXT], follows the value and when other than [EXT], records the user value set in [USER].

[TIME]: Selects the local time. (hh, mm, ss)

[DATE]: Selects the local date and time. (YY, MM, DD, hh)

[TCG]: The value of time code generator is recorded as user bits.

[FRAME RATE]: Selects camera imaging information (such as frame rate).
