Description

Behavior and cause

[AUTH NG CARD]

The CPS authentication of the memory card has failed. The memory card that has failed CPS authentication cannot be recorded or played back.

  • The current operation will continue.

[BACKUP BATT EMPTY]

Displays any reduced voltage detected on the backup battery in the internal clock when the power is turned on.

  • The current operation will continue.

  • Charge the built-in battery.

  • Set the time.

[CARD ERROR]

Displayed when an data error caused by the P2 card occurs during recording.

Displayed after recording stops until the next operation. Also displayed for three seconds during playback when a P2 card error causes playback to stop.

  • If the error occurs during recording, the warning lamp flashes four times per second for approx. three seconds after recording stops.

    Alarm will sound four times in one second.

  • Warning lamp does not light up when an error occurs during playback.

  • The operation will stop.

  • After it stops, the P2 card on which the error occurred is write-protected. Replace the P2 card of the slot where the error occurred.

[DIR NG CARD]

The directory position is not correct.

  • The current operation will continue.

  • Make a card backup immediately and format the card to use it again.

[FAN STOPPED]

Displayed when the fan motor is stopped.

  • The current operation will continue.

  • If the fan has stopped with error, stop using the camera immediately and consult your dealer.

  • If the fan has stopped, temperature of the camera will rise. Therefore, do not use the camera for a long period of time.

[HIGH TEMPERATURE]

The temperature inside the camera is higher than that of the normal conditions.

  • Power is automatically turned off after approximately five seconds after abnormal temeperature is detected.

  • Turn on the power again and check recording and playback operations. If the problem persists, consult your dealer.

[REC IMPOSSIBLE]

A card that cannot record is inserted in the main slot or sub slot.

  • The current operation will continue.

  • Insert a card that can be recorded.

    expressP2 memory card for the main slot, and Class10 or higher SDXC memory card for the sub slot is recommended.

[REC WARNING]

Displayed when attempting to record in excess of the maximum total number of clips allowed for one P2 card.

  • Warning lamp flashes four times per second during continuous recording.

    Alarm will sound four times in one second.

  • The operation will stop.

  • [REC WARNING!] [OVER MAX# CLIPS] will be displayed on the warning display when opening the [DIAGNOSTICS] screen from the INFO screen.

  • Replace the P2 card or delete unnecessary clips.

[REC WARNING]

Displayed when an error occurs in recorded data during recording.

  • Warning lamp flashes four times per second during continuous recording.

    Alarm will sound four times in one second.

  • The operation will continue or stop.

  • [REC WARNING!][REC DATA] will be displayed on the warning display when opening the [DIAGNOSTICS] screen from the INFO screen.

  • Turn off the power and on before using it again.

[REC WARNING]

Displayed when the recording is cancelled due to error in the reference signal in case such as error has occurred in the video or audio due to disruption of the reference signal during the interval recording.

  • The warning lamp will flash four times in one second.

    Alarm will sound four times in one second.

  • Recording will be stopped.

  • [REC WARNING!] [FRAME SIGNAL] is displayed in the warning display field when the [DIAGNOSTICS] screen is opened from the INFO screen.

  • Confirm if the signal input to the <GENLOCK IN> terminal is not disrupted.

[RUN DOWN CARD]

The maximum number of overwrites has been exceeded.

  • The current operation will continue.

  • Replacement of the P2 card is recommended.

[TEMPORARY PAUSE]

Recording is temporary suspended due to correct recording not possible because of the disruption of input signal from the <GENLOCK IN> terminal. The clip will be divided.

  • Warning lamp flashes four times per second during continuous recording.

    Alarm will sound four times in one second.

  • The operation will pause.

  • Recording will resume when the signal returns to normal.

[CINE STYLE DISABLED!]

CAM INDEX/REEL number cannot be recorded as a file name.

  • Use the expressP2 memory card or Class10 or higher SDXC memory card.

[SUB SLOT REC DISABLED!]

Recording is not possible because there is no media in the sub slot.

  • Insert a medium in the sub slot or change the recording destination of the proxy file to the main slot only.

[CHECK BROKEN CLIP]

The P2 card contains a damaged clip.

  • The current operation will continue.

  • Restore or delete the damaged clip in the PLAY screen.

When noticing with dedicated display or lamp

Attaching the electronic HD color view finder AU-VCVF20G (optional) will indicate warnings for battery and media with the lamp on the viewfinder.

Viewfinder status display

Battery lamp and warning lamp flashes

[EMP] is displayed on either or both remaining battery level information.

Battery is consumed.

  • Recording and playback operation will be stopped.

  • Alarm will continue to be output.

  • Replace the battery.

    When remaing battery connected to the <DC IN> terminal has run out, attach a battery with sufficient level to the battery holder.

    It will automatically switch to the battery holder and warning will stop. It will be same for the opposite case.

Battey lamp and warning lamp flashes once per second.

Either or both remaining battery level information will flash.

Battery is almost consumed.

  • Recording and playback will continue.

  • Refer to the instructions when battery is consumed.

Warning lamp flashes

[END] is displayed on either or both remaining media space information.

There is no more space on the recording media in the main slot or the sub slot.

  • Recording will be stopped.

  • Alarm will continue to be output.

  • Delete clips in the recording media or insert a new recording media.

Warning lamp will flash once per second during recording.

Either or both remaining media space information will flash.

The remaining space on the recording media in the main slot or the sub slot is low.

  • Recording will continue.

  • Replace the media if required.

During thumbnail and menu operation

Data cannot be accessed due to a content defect or some other reason.

Ensure the health of the media and the clips.

[CANNOT DELETE!]

The content versions do not match. Cannot delete.

Match the device and contents version.

[CANNOT FORMAT!]

A P2 card problem or some other reason prevents formatting.

Check the P2 card.

[CANNOT REPAIR!]

Content that cannot be repaired is selected.

Check the selected content.

[CANNOT SAVE! FILE NAME IN USE]

A settings file of the same name exists on the SD memory card.

Use another name to save the file.

[CARD FULL!]

The P2 card or SD memory card is full.

Insert a card with free space available.

[INVALID VALUE!]

The data value you entered is invalid.

Enter data within the normal range.

[MISSING CLIP!]

Shot marks cannot be attached to the clips unless all clips recorded over multiple P2 cards are present.

The camera cannot handle a clip recorded over multiple cards.

[NO CARD!]

No P2 or SD memory card is inserted.

Insert the relevant media.

[NO FILE!]

The specified file does not exist.

Check the file.

[NO INPUT!]

No data is entered.

Enter data and then set.

[NO SD CARD!]

No SD memory card.

Insert an SD memory card.

[UNKNOWN CONTENTS FORMAT!]

This is a warning of the contents for the version that is not supported by the camera.

Match the device and content versions.

[UNKNOWN DATA!]

The metadata character code is invalid.

The metadata character code is UTF-8. Enter valid characters using a viewer.

There is a problem with data in the file.

Create the file again.

[USER CLIP NAME MODIFIED!]

When adding a counter value to the clip name, characters must be deleted.

For the counter addition setting, the user clip name plus the counter value can only contain up to 100 bytes. Characters in the clip name are automatically deleted when the total number of characters exceeds this limit.

[WRITE PROTECTED!]

The P2 card or SD memory card is write-protected.

Insert write-accessible media.

Check that the LAN settings are correct. Make sure that the LAN cable is connected correctly and the network you use is running.

The connection destination FTP server cannot be found.

Check that [MENU] → [SERVER URL] → [FTP CLIENT SERVICE] → [SERVER URL] is correct.

[LOGIN FAILED!]

Logging in to the connection destination FTP server failed.

Check that [MENU] → [PERIPHERAL] → [FTP CLIENT SERVICE] → [LOGIN USER] and [LOGIN PASSWORD] are correct.

[PING FAILED!]

The [PING] failed.

Check that the LAN setting and [MENU] → [PERIPHERAL] → [FTP CLIENT SERVICE] → [SERVER URL] are correct. Check that the LAN cable is connected correctly or the network is operating.

[CANNOT ACCESS GATEWAY!]

The gateway server cannot be accessed.

Check that the LAN settings are correct.

[CHECK LAN SETTING]

The gateway server cannot be accessed.

Check that the LAN settings are correct.

[IP ADDRESS IS USED!]

The set IP address is being used by another device.

Consult your network administrator and set another IP address.

[INVALID VALUE!]

The entered data value is invalid.
