HOME screen

The Home screen displays the basic camera settings and is used to change those settings.

[FPS]

Sets the frame rate.

[VFR]

Toggles the variable frame rate.

When this is [OFF], the frame rate become 1x the rate set in [MENU] → [SYSTEM SETTING] → [FREQUENCY].

  • When this is [ON], audio cannot be recorded. Audio is recorded at the sub recorder.

[PRESET]

Mode for selecting preset frame rates.

Up to 12 presets can be stored in memory.

Presets can be added/deleted using [ADD]/[DEL].

[VARIABLE]

Mode for selecting from the overall variable range.

The variable step changes through [FINE]/[NORMAL]/[COARSE].

[SHUTTER]

Sets the shutter speed.

[ON]/[OFF]

[OFF] means shutter off (open angle 360 deg).

[PRESET]

Mode for selecting preset shutter speeds.

Up to 12 can be registered.

Presets can be added/deleted using [ADD]/[DEL].

[SYNCHRO]

Mode for selecting from the overall variable range.

The variable step changes through [FINE]/[COARSE].

[deg/sec]

Determines the shutter setting unit.

[deg]: Open angle

[sec]: Second

[EI]

Sets the EXPOSURE INDEX (gain).

[ISO/dB]

Selects the setting method.

[NATIVE ONLY]

Only the native ISO can be selected. (when [ISO] is set)

[800BASE]

The ISO800 standard value can be selected. (when [ISO] is set)

[5000BASE]

The ISO5000 standard value can be selected. (when [ISO] is set)

[WB]

Sets the color temperature (white balance).

[AWB]

Executes automatic white balancing.

[PRESET]

Mode for selecting preset white balance values.

Up to 12 can be registered.

Presets can be added/deleted using [ADD]/[DEL].

If [AWB] is performed, the results are automatically added to the choices.

[TEMP SHIFT]

Mode for making adjustments from the overall variable range.

[GMg]

Shifts to the Green-Magenta axis.

[COLOR]

Sets the video colors (gamma and gamut).

[MAIN COLOR]

Sets the output colors of videos from terminals <SDI OUT1> to <SDI OUT4> as well as videos recorded in the main recorder.

[SUB COLOR]

Sets the colors of videos recorded in the sub recorder.

[Grading SEL]

Sets the grading function.

[MAIN COLOR] is only enabled in [V-Log] mode.

[3D LUT]

Sets the grading in the [3D LUT].

[Grading SEL] is disabled when this is [OFF].

When [Grading SEL] is set to [Internal] or [External App]

  • Loads from the SD memory card using [LOAD].

  • Saves the setting value to the SD memory card with [SAVE AS].

[CDL]

Sets the grading in [CDL].

[Grading SEL] is disabled when this is [OFF].

When [Grading SEL] is set to [Internal] or [External App]

  • Sets [Slope]/[Offset]/[Power]/[Saturation] on the control panel.

  • Loads from the SD memory card using [LOAD].

  • Saves the setting value to the SD memory card with [SAVE AS].

[MON SET]

Sets the display color for [MON OUT]/[VF]/[VF SDI].

[SYSTEM MODE]

Sets the camera’s system.

[SYSTEM MODE PRESET]

Selects from the preset system mode. Up to five can be registered.

The screen will transfer to the [SYSTEM MODE PRESET] screen by placing the cursor on [SYSTEM MODE] in the [SYSTEM] screen and pressing the jog dial button.

  • [LOAD]

    Changes the setting of each item in [SYSTEM MODE] to the setting of the selected system mode.

    The setting menus other than [SYSTEM MODE] may also be changed linked to the selected system menu.

  • [DELETE]

    Deletes the selected system mode.

  • [SAVE]

    Registers the current setting value in the camera. Replaces with the currently selected value when there are 5 values already registered.

    The setting values for each item in [SYSTEM MODE] and the setting value for [VFR] are registered.

[FREQUENCY]

Sets the system frequency.

[PIXEL]

Sets the camera’s main resolution (number of pixels).

[MAIN CODEC]

Sets the main recorder’s codec.

The camera’s basic system is determined by four settings: [FREQUENCY], [PIXEL], [MAIN CODEC], and [HIGH SPEED]. Restarting the system may be necessary if basic system settings are changed.

After confirming the four settings, restart in accordance with the guide.

[SUB CODEC]

[SUB CODEC]: Sets the codec of the sub recorder.

[VFR SUB REC]: Selects either [NORMAL+Audio] or [VFR up to 60p (50p)].

  • [NORMAL+Audio]: Records in the frame of system frequency. Audio signal is also recorded.

  • [VFR up to 60p (50p)]: Records in a variable frame rate by synchronizing to the [VFR] setting of the main recorder. Audio signal is not recorded when [VFR] is set to [ON]. Recording is not available when the frame rate is 60p (50p) display or higher.

[HIGH SPEED]

Sets the high speed mode. Playback operation is not possible when [MAIN CODEC] is set to ProRes format and [HIGH SPEED] is set to [ON].

[AUDIO]

[AUDIO]

Sets the audio input and recording.

[VOL]: Sets the input volume.

[IN]: Sets input channel switching and level control.

[OUT]: Sets the output to a speaker or headphone.

[DAILIES]

Sets the data to superimpose on the video to be recorded in the sub recorder.

[WATER MARK]

Superimposes the set character string.

[FRAME MARK]

Superimposes the frame mark.

[WINDOW BURN]

Sets [WINDOW BURN].

[BURN DATA]

Sets [BURN DATA] used in [WINDOW BURN].

[PREVIEW]

Checks the setting status of [WINDOW BURN].

[USER CLIP NAME]

Sets [USER CLIP NAME].

[CAM INDEX]

Sets the [CAM INDEX] applicable when the [USER CLIP NAME] is set to [TYPE3].

[NEXT REEL COUNT]

Sets the [NEXT REEL COUNT] applicable when the [USER CLIP NAME] is set to [TYPE3].

[TYPE]

Sets [TYPE] of [USER CLIP NAME].
