[SETUP] screen

[SET01:TC/UB]

Sets the time code or user bits.

On the [HOME] screen, press the <COUNTER> button and select TC to display the time code setting screen and select UB to display the user bits setting screen.

[SET02:MON OUT SELECT]

Sets the formats and aspects of video output from the <SDI OUT2/IN> terminal, the <HDMI> terminal, and the <GL IN/VIDEO OUT> terminal.

<%/REW> button

[SDI2]

Sets the signal format type output from the <SDI OUT2/IN> terminal.

With this setting, the signal format to be output from the <HDMI> terminal is also switched.

  • When the main menu → [IN/OUT SEL] → [HDMI OUT SIGNAL] is set to [VF], the 1080i signal is output from the <HDMI> terminal, regardless of this setting.

    When [SDI IN] is selected, the signals 1080i, 720P, 480P, or 576P are output in accordance with the setting in the main menu → [SYSTEM MODE] → [LINE&FREQ].

[1080i] or [720P] (HDMI: [1080i] or [720P])

Displayed only in the HD mode.

  • Outputs the SDI signal in accordance with the setting in the main menu → [SYSTEM MODE] → [LINE&FREQ].

  • The 1080i or 720P signal is also output from the <HDMI> terminal according to the [LINE&FREQ] setting.

  • For [1080-59.94P] or [1080-50P], 1080/59.94i and 1080/50i is output from both the <SDI OUT2/IN> terminal and the <HDMI> terminal.

  • For [1080-23.98PsF], the signal pulled down to 1080/59.94i is output from both <SDI OUT2/IN> and <HDMI> terminals.

[480i] or [576i] (HDMI: [480P] or [576P])

  • The SDI signal of 480i or 576i is output.

  • The 480P or 576P signal is output from the <HDMI> terminal.

<STOP> button

[D.CON]

Sets the aspect for the down-conversion output signal in the HD mode. This item is not displayed in the SD mode.

[CROP]

Side-crop mode (Crops the left and right edges.)

[L.BOX]

Letterbox mode (Adds black bands at the top and bottom of the image.)

[SQU]

Squeeze mode (Squeezes images horizontally.)

  • Factory setting: [L.BOX]

[SET03:MON OUT SETUP]

Sets the output setting of the <SDI OUT2/IN> terminal, the <HDMI> terminal, and the <GL IN/VIDEO OUT> terminal.

Sets whether to output from the <SDI OUT2/IN> terminal, the <HDMI> terminal, and the <GL IN/VIDEO OUT> terminal.

[ON], [OFF]

  • Factory setting: [ON]

When the remote control unit (AJ-RC10G), the extension control unit (AG-EC4G), or the remote operation panel (AK-HRP200G) is connected, the signal is always output from the <GL IN/VIDEO OUT> terminal regardless of this setting.

<STOP> button

[CHR]

Specifies whether characters are superimposed over the output from the <SDI OUT2/IN> terminal, <HDMI> terminal, the <GL IN/VIDEO OUT> terminal, and the <REMOTE> terminal.

  • The video signal output from the <SDI OUT1> terminal will be a candidate for selection when [MON CHAR] is selected in the main menu → [IN/OUT SEL] → [SDI OUT1 CHAR].

[ON], [OFF]

  • Factory setting: [ON]

This setting is disabled when the remote control unit (AJ-RC10G), the extension control unit (AG-EC4G), or the remote operation panel (AK-HRP200G) is connected, and the setting on the remote control unit, the extension control unit, or the remote operation panel will be applied.

<FF/)> button

[ZBR]

Specifies whether zebra pattern are superimposed over the output from the <SDI OUT2/IN> terminal, <HDMI> terminal, the <GL IN/VIDEO OUT> terminal, and the <REMOTE> terminal.

  • This setting is not available when the setting menu on the viewfinder is open.

  • The video signal output from the <SDI OUT1> terminal will be a candidate for selection when [MON ZEBRA] is selected in the main menu → [IN/OUT SEL] → [SDI OUT1 ZEBRA].

[ON], [OFF]

  • Factory setting: [OFF]

[SET04:LCD]

Sets the display settings of SmartUI.

Decreases the setting value of the selected item. Press and hold this button to continuously decrease the setting value.

<PLAY/PAUSE> button

[+]

Increases the setting value of the selected item. Press and hold this button to continuously increase the setting value.

<RESET> button

Resets the setting value of the selected item to its factory setting value.

<MONITOR SEL> button

[→]

Moves the item selection to the right. When the item selection moves to the right edge, it moves back to the left edge.

[BACK LIGHT]

Sets the luminance of SmartUI.

  • Factory setting: [3]

[CONTRAST]

Sets the contrast of SmartUI.

  • The SmartUI screen may be hidden depending on the setting value.

    In such a case, press the <HOME> to return to the [HOME] screen and hold down the <LIGHT> and <RESET> buttons. The setting value of [CONTRAST] is reset to the factory setting.
