Remote control unit connected to the camera When AJ-RC10G is connected to the camera, the operations of the following functions differ from the descriptions in the Operating Instructions supplied with AJ-RC10G.
<A.KNEE ON> button You can enable/disable the dynamic range stretcher function from the camera’s main menu → [SW MODE] → [AUTO KNEE SW]. The button illuminates when [DRS] is set, and the light is off when [OFF] is set.
<CHARA ON> button Selects whether the characters are superimposed over the video signals output to the <SDI OUT2/IN>, <HDMI>, and <GL IN/VIDEO OUT> terminals of the camera.
The setting of the [CHR] item in [SET03:MON OUT SETUP] of SmartUI will be disabled.
<USER2> button Has the same function as the camera’s <THUMBNAIL> button.
The thumbnail screen is displayed on the viewfinder and the monitor screen connected to the camera.
[CAMERA MENU OPEN] is displayed on the LCD screen of AJ-RC10G, and the <MENU ON> button lights up at the same time.
Scene files Scene files created on other models cannot be loaded. If you try to load such a file, [NG] is displayed on the LCD of AJ-RC10G.

The variable range of [SPED] when [FIX] is selected in [MODE] varies depending on the camera mode. Refer to “Setting the electronic shutter ”.
[SYNCHRO SCAN DISP] is added in the second level. When [S.S] is selected in [MODE], select the unit of the value to be displayed in [SPED] from either [SEC] or [DEG]. This change in the unit is also applied to the camera.
The variable range varies depending on the camera mode. Refer to “Setting the synchro scan mode ”.

<SHAD> lamp, <FLARE> lamp, <MATRIX> lamp, <GAMMA> lamp, <DTL> lamp, <SKIN DTL> lamp, <KNEE> lamp When connected to the camera, AJ-RC10G menu operations are disabled even if these lamps are illuminated.
<BLACK> volume Works only as volume adjustment for the pedestal ([PED]).
However, this does not work when [FLR] (flare) is selected in [BLACK-VR-CONTROL] in the AJ-RC10G menu.
Also, when automatic black balancing (ABB) is performed, the <VR ACTIVE> button light goes off and the <BLACK> volume setting value is cleared to 0.
NOTE
The status adjusted with AJ-RC10G connected will always be recorded on the camera. The setting of [FUNC] → [RC-DATA-SAVE] in the AJ-RC10G menu is currently disabled.
When connecting or removing a dedicated cable, be sure to set the <POWER> switch of the camera and AJ-RC10G to <OFF>.
Use a cable or optional cable that is dedicated for AJ-RC10G. Otherwise, a malfunction may result.
The USER buttons on the camera (<USER MAIN>/<USER1>/<USER2>) and <MENU> button do not function when AJ-RC10G is connected.

For the software version of AJ-RC10G, use Ver.1.20 or higher.
