Setup file

Specified menu can be saved in the SD card, or read into the camera from the SD card.

The card slot to save and read the setup file can be set in the [FILE] menu → [SLOT FOR SCENE/SETUP FILE].

Saving the setup file

The setup file can be overwritten to a file in the SD card, or saved as a new file.

Saving the setup file by overwriting a file in the SD card

Overwrites the file selected in the list of the setup files saved in the SD memory card with the current setting value of the camera.

Select the [FILE] menu → [SETUP FILE] → [SAVE].

The list of setup files saved in the SD card is displayed.

Select the file to overwrite from the list of setup files.

The file name entry screen and the keyboard are displayed. Leave it as is when overwriting.

Select [Enter].

A confirmation screen is displayed.

Select [SET].

The file is saved.

Saving the setup file as a new file in the SD card

Saves the current setting value of the camera into the SD card as a new file by specifying the file name.

Select the [FILE] menu → [SETUP FILE] → [SAVE AS].

The file name entry screen and the keyboard are displayed.

Enter the text to set with the keyboard.

Select [Enter].

A confirmation screen is displayed.

Select [SET].

The file is saved.

Reading the setup file

Reads the setup file saved in the SD card.

Select the [FILE] menu → [SETUP FILE] → [LOAD].

The list of setup files stored in the specified folder in the SD card is displayed.

This can also be displayed by pressing the USER button with [LOAD SETUP FILE] assigned.

Select the file name for the file to read.

Select [SET].

Loading of the file is started. The camera is restarted after reading.

  • An error message may be displayed. For details regarding the error message, refer to “Cases indicated by error messages”.

  • The file saved by a camera with different firmware version may not be able to read.
