Thumbnail screen

The thumbnail screen is displayed when the <THUMBNAIL> button is pressed while the VIEW screen or the HOME screen is displayed.

Pressing the <THUMBNAIL> button again displays the VIEW screen.

To return to the HOME screen, press the <HOME> button.

The clips in the recording codec (MOV or AVCHD) selected in the [SYSTEM SETTINGS] menu → [SYSTEM MODE] → [MAIN CODEC] is displayed in the thumbnail screen.

Also, menu in the thumbnail screen can be operated by pressing the <MENU> button while the thumbnail screen is displayed.

1. Clip status display

   [ALL SLOT]: Displays all the clips recorded on all the SD cards in each card slot. Displays in [ALL SLOT] when the thumbnail screen is displayed from the VIEW screen or the HOME screen.

   [SLOT1]: Displays only the clips recorded on the SD card in card slot 1.

   [SLOT2]: Displays only the clips recorded on the SD card in card slot 2.

   [SLOT1→SLOT2]: Displays when copying from the SD card in the card slot 1 to the SD card in the card slot 2.

   [SLOT2→SLOT1]: Displays when copying from the SD card in the card slot 2 to the SD card in the card slot 1.

2. Function display

   This is displayed during the operation of copy, delete, protect, etc.

3. Recording mode

   : Displays when MOV is selected as the recording codec.

   : Displays when AVCHD is selected as the recording codec.

   : Displays when MOV is selected as recording codec, and if there is at least one AVCHD clip in any of the SD cards. This is not displayed if there is no AVCHD clip.

   : Displays when AVCHD is selected as recording codec, and if there is at least one MOV clip in any of the SD cards. This is not displayed if there is no MOV clip.

4. Media status display

   The card slot number of the SD card where the clip in the cursor position is recorded is displayed in yellow.

5. Wireless LAN connection status display

   Displays the connection status of the wireless LAN.

   (No display): It is not connected to a wireless LAN. It is set to the [NETWORK SETTINGS] menu → [NETWORK SEL] → [OFF].

   : A status where ROP is not connected.

   : A status where ROP is connected.

6. Power status display

   : Indicates the remaining battery level while powered with the battery.

   : Displays when powered with the AC adaptor.

8. Clip that cannot be played back

   Displays when the clip cannot be played back in the camera such as standard violation.

9. Page switching button

   Switches the page of the thumbnail screen.

   []: Moves to previous page

   []: Moves to next page

10. Scroll bar

    Indicates which part of the whole thumbnail is currently being viewed.

Display of the clips in the thumbnail screen

1. Thumbnail number

   Displays the thumbnail number in [0001] to [9999].

   Normally, the number assigned to the clip in the order of recording is displayed.

2. Resume play status

3. Number of recorded pixels, system frequency

4. Protection status of the clip

   This is displayed when the clip is protected.

5. Clip name

   First eight digits of the file name of the clip is displayed in alphanumeric.

6. Delete selection status

7. Clip that cannot be played back

   This is displayed when the clip cannot be played back with the camera because the system frequency is different, etc.

8. Copy selection status

   This is displayed when the clip is selected.
