Direct volume control

The audio level can be adjusted with the <IRIS/SEL> dial button or the <IRIS> dial on the grip module without displaying the audio operation screen of the control panel.

Operation method

Press the USER button (<USER 1>, <USER 2>, <USER 3>, <USER GRIP1>, <USER GRIP2>) that [DIRECT VOL CTRL] is assigned.

The direct volume control function is called.

The audio level meter is displayed in the status display of the output from the <SDI OUT 1>/<SDI OUT 2>/<VF SDI> terminal, and an icon indicating the channel ([CH1/2] or [CH3/4]) will flash.

Adjust the audio level by turning the <IRIS/SEL> dial button or the <IRIS> dial on the grip module.

Switches the channel to operate the volume by pressing the USER button (<USER 1>, <USER 2>, <USER 3>, <USER GRIP1>, <USER GRIP2>) that [AUDIO MONITOR CH] is assigned as necessary.

Adjust the audio level of the switched channel by turning the <IRIS/SEL> dial button or the <IRIS> dial on the grip module.

Press the USER button (<USER 1>, <USER 2>, <USER 3>, <USER GRIP1>, <USER GRIP2>) button that [DIRECT VOL CTRL] is assigned.

The direct volume control function will end.

The icon indicating the audio channel ([CH1/2] or [CH3/4]) in the status display of the output from the <SDI OUT 1>/<SDI OUT 2>/<VF SDI> terminal will change to continuous illumination. Or the audio level meter in the status display of the output from the <SDI OUT 1>/<SDI OUT 2>/<VF SDI> terminal will disappear.

The <IRIS/SEL> dial button and the <IRIS> dial on the grip module will return to it original iris control operation.

NOTE

Display of the audio when the direct volume control is disabled will differ depending on the settings of [MENU] → [OUTPUT SETTINGS] → [VF SDI INDICATOR] → [AUDIO LEVEL METER] and the [MENU] → [OUTPUT SETTINGS] → [SDI OUT INDICATOR] → [AUDIO LEVEL METER].
It will be menu or contents selection move operation instead of the direct volume control when operating the MENU screen or the PLAY screen.
Operation is not possible when a camera image is not displayed in the output from the <SDI OUT 1>/<SDI OUT 2>/<VF SDI> terminal.
[AUDIO LEVEL METER] for the status display is not displayed when [MENU] → [OUTPUT SETTINGS] → [VF SDI OUT] → [VF SDI CLEAN VIEW] is set to [ON] while [AUDIO] is displayed in the status display of the output from the <VF SDI> terminal.
[AUDIO LEVEL METER] for the status display is not displayed when [MENU] → [OUTPUT SETTINGS] → [SDI OUT] → [SDI OUT 1 CLEAN VIEW] is set to [ON] while [AUDIO] is displayed in the status display of the output from the <SDI OUT 1> terminal.
[AUDIO LEVEL METER] for the status display is not displayed when [MENU] → [OUTPUT SETTINGS] → [SDI OUT] → [SDI OUT 2 CLEAN VIEW] is set to [ON] while [AUDIO] is displayed in the status display of the output from the <SDI OUT 2> terminal.
The display of the audio level meter during the normal speed playback (excluding playback pause/fast-forward playback/fast-reverse playback) differs depending on the settings of [MENU] → [OUTPUT SETTINGS] → [VF SDI INDICATOR] → [AUDIO LEVEL METER] and [MENU] → [OUTPUT SETTINGS] → [SDI OUT INDICATOR] → [AUDIO LEVEL METER].
