[I/F SETUP]

These are items for setting related to audio and video input/output and display, and setting battery, audio, video output, etc.

[OUTPUT SEL]

[OUTPUT ITEM]

Sets the character content to superimpose on the output signal of the <SDI OUT1> terminal and monitor output terminal (<SDI OUT2>, <HDMI OUT>, and <VIDEO OUT>).

[MENU ONLY]: Displays only on the menu. Normally, nothing is displayed.

[TC]: Displays the time code. (Menu is displayed on the menu)

[STATUS]: Displays all items that are the same as the characters displayed on the viewfinder. (Menu is displayed on the menu)

  • Factory setting: [MENU ONLY]

The time code display position moves up and down based on the camera ID position.

[SDI OUT1]

Turns <SDI OUT1> terminal output [ON]/[OFF].

[ON]: Performs output.

[OFF]: Stops output.

  • Factory setting: [ON]

[SDI OUT1 MODE]

Selects <SDI OUT1> terminal output signals.

[MEM]: In playback mode, these are playback images.

[CAM]: When the main menu → [SYSTEM] → [SYSTEM MODE] → [REC SIGNAL] is set to [CAM], output is always camera images.

  • Factory setting: [MEM]

[SDI OUT1 CHAR]

Selects whether to superimpose characters on <SDI OUT1> terminal output images.

[ON]: Superimposes.

[OFF]: Does not superimpose.

  • Factory setting: [OFF]

The content of characters to superimpose is the same as the characters superimposed on images output from <SDI OUT2> and other terminals.

[SDI OUT2]

Turns <SDI OUT2> terminal output [ON]/[OFF].

[ON]: Performs output.

[OFF]: Stops output.

  • Factory setting: [OFF]

[SDI OUT2 HDR]

Select high dynamic range/standard dynamic rage for the output of <SDI OUT2> terminal.

[ON]: Outputs in high dynamic range.

[OFF]: Outputs in standard dynamic range.

This is only enabled when the main menu → [PAINT] → [GAMMA] → [GAMMA MODE SEL] is set to [HLG].

[VIDEO OUT]

Turns <VIDEO OUT> terminal output [ON]/[OFF].

[ON]: Performs output.

[OFF]: Stops output.

  • Factory setting: [OFF]

[SDI2/HDMI OUT]

Selects the signal form to be output to the monitor output terminal (<SDI OUT2> or <HDMI OUT>) in HD mode.

[SYSTEM MODE]: Outputs in the system mode signal format.

[DOWNCON]: Outputs the down converter signal.

  • Factory setting: [SYSTEM MODE]

[1080P SDI2/HDMI OUT]

Selects whether to convert the output signal of the monitor output terminal (<SDI OUT2> or <HDMI OUT>) to 1080i when in 1080P mode.

[1080P]: Outputs as 1080P.

[1080i]: Converts to 1080i and outputs.

  • Factory setting: [1080P]

If the main menu → [I/F SETUP] → [OUTPUT SEL] → [SDI2/HDMI OUT] is set to [DOWNCON], the signal that was down-converted is output, regardless of these settings.

[3G-SDI OUT]

Selects 1080P signals of the HD SDI output in 1080P mode.

[LEVEL-A]: Selects the LEVEL-A method.

[LEVEL-B]: Selects the LEVEL-B DL method.

  • Factory setting: [LEVEL-B]

[MONITOR OUT MODE]

Selects the output signals of the monitor output terminal (<SDI OUT2>, <HDMI OUT> or <VIDEO OUT2>). Operates independently of the <SDI OUT1> terminal.

[MEM]: In playback mode, these are playback images.

[CAM]: When the main menu → [SYSTEM] → [SYSTEM MODE] → [REC SIGNAL] is set to [CAM], output is always camera images.

[MONITOR OUT ZEBRA]

Selects whether the zebra pattern is superimposed over the output video signals from the monitor output terminals (<SDI OUT2>, <HDMI OUT>, and <VIDEO OUT>). (The remote VBS signal also interlocks.)

[ON]: Superimposes.

[OFF]: Does not superimpose.

  • Factory setting: [OFF]

[SDI EDH]

Sets whether to add an error detection flag to SD SDI output.

[ON], [OFF]

  • Factory setting: [ON]

[HDSDI REMOTE]

Sets whether to use the control function of recording operation for an external device (such as a recorder) connected to the <SDI OUT1> terminal or <SDI OUT2> terminal. (At HD SDI output)

[ON], [OFF]

  • Factory setting: [OFF]

Selecting [ON] outputs recording operation control to an external device. While recording is instructed, the red tally lamp, front tally lamp, back tally lamp of the viewfinder of the camera, and the rear tally lamp of the camera illuminate. The display method for the recording status of the camera can be selected from the main menu → [REC/PB] → [REC/PB SETUP] → [REC TALLY].

Recording operation control is not output in interval recording, one-shot recording, and loop recording.

Recording operation control is not output when 4G/LTE is set.

[THUMBNAIL OUT]

Selects whether to output the thumbnail of a clip displayed on the LCD monitor to the <SDI OUT1> terminal, <SDI OUT2> terminal, <HDMI OUT> terminal, and <VIDEO OUT> terminal.

[ON]: Performs output.

[OFF]: Does not output.

When [LETTER BOX] is selected, some parts of the top and bottom edges of the down converter output video may be distorted. This is not a malfunction.

[DETAIL]

Turns detail function for the down converter output signal [ON]/[OFF].

The down converter output signal contains detail components set during HD signal processing.

This setting superimposes the detail components exclusive to down converter output to that signal.

Even if this setting is [OFF], the detail components set during HD signal processing cannot be disabled.

[H.DTL LEVEL]

Sets horizontal detail correction level for the down converter output signal.

Switches the synchronization signal of the camera signal.

[INT]: Synchronizes to the internal standard signal independent of standard signals input to the <GENLOCK IN> terminal or <SDI IN> terminal.

[GL IN]: Synchronizes to the standard signal input to the <GENLOCK IN> terminal.

[SDI IN]: Synchronizes to the standard signal input to the <SDI IN> terminal.

  • Factory setting: [INT]

When the main menu → [SYSTEM] → [SYSTEM MODE] → [REC SIGNAL] is set to [SDI], the camera synchronizes to the reference signal input to the <SDI IN> terminal regardless of this setting.

[GL PHASE]

Selects the output signal of phase to be locked to the signal input to the <GENLOCK IN> terminal.

[HD SDI]: Locks the HD SDI output signal to genlock input. The video start position of the down converter output signal lags by approx. 90 lines.

[COMPOSITE]: Locks the down converter output signal to genlock input. The video start position of the HD SDI output signal advances by approx. 90 lines.

This item is not displayed in SD mode (480/59.94i and 576/50i).

[H PHASE COARSE]

Roughly adjusts to match horizontal synchronization phase when building a system.

[MIC/AUDIO]

[VR SELECT]

Selects which channel to assign to the <AUDIO LEVEL CH1/3>/<AUDIO LEVEL CH2/4> and <F.AUDIO LEVEL> dials.

[CH1/2]: Assigns level adjustment of channels 1/2. Channels 3/4 can be automatically adjusted or adjusted by [LVL CONTROL CH3] or [LVL CONTROL CH4].

[CH3/4]: Assigns level adjustment of channels 3/4. Channels 1/2 can be automatically adjusted or adjusted by [LVL CONTROL CH1] or [LVL CONTROL CH2].

  • Factory setting: [CH1/2]

When [CH3/4] is selected in [VR SELECT], channels are also replaced for the following six items.

  • [FRONT VR CH1] → [FRONT VR CH3]

  • [FRONT VR CH2] → [FRONT VR CH4]

Sets whether to enable the <F.AUDIO LEVEL> dial for input signals selected in audio CH1 (CH3).

[FRONT]: Enabled only when [FRONT] is selected.

[W.L.]: Enabled only when wireless microphone receiver is selected.

[REAR]: Enabled only when [REAR] is selected.

[ALL]: Enabled when any input is selected.

[OFF]: Disabled regardless of the input selected. Recording levels do not change even if the volume dial is turned.

The channel is replaced when [CH3/4] is selected in [VR SELECT]. Setting values are inherited between replaced channels.

[FRONT VR CH2(CH4)]

Sets whether to enable the <F.AUDIO LEVEL> dial for input signals selected in audio CH2 (CH4).

[W.L.]: Enabled only when wireless microphone receiver is selected.

Selects test signals.

[NORMAL]: Outputs test tones to all channels if the <OUTPUT> switch is <BARS>, and <CH1> on the <AUDIO IN> switch is set to <FRONT>.

[ALWAYS]: Outputs test tones to all channels at all times when the <OUTPUT> switch is <BARS>.

[CHSEL]: When the <OUTPUT> switch is <BARS>, outputs test tones to the channel for which <CH1> or <CH2> on the <AUDIO IN> switch is set to <FRONT>. The test tones are not output to CH3 and CH4.

[OFF]: Does not output the test tone.

[FRONT MIC POWER]

Sets the phantom power of the front microphone.

[ON], [OFF]

[REAR MIC POWER]

Sets the phantom power of the rear microphone.

Phantom power is not output when [OFF] is selected, even if the <REAR AUDIO CH1> and <REAR AUDIO CH2> switches are set to <+48V>.

[MONITOR SELECT]

Selects the signal method to output to the monitor when the <MONITOR SELECT> switch is set to <ST> (stereo).

Sets whether to display a warning when the reception status of the wireless microphone receiver is poor.

Selects the type of wireless microphone receiver.

[SINGLE]: Selects a single channel type wireless microphone receiver.

[DUAL]: Selects a double channel type wireless microphone receiver.

[USB/LAN]

[4G/LTE PROPERTY] cannot be selected when the setting is not required on the connected 4G/LTE USB modem.

[USB MODE SELECT]

Sets the camera operation mode when an external device is connected to the USB.

[STORAGE]: Sets the mode to be used with connected devices such as an external hard disk drive.

[DEVICE]: Selects the USB device mode for using P2 cards as mass storage, using computers or other devices connected via USB 2.0.

  • Factory setting: [STORAGE]

This item cannot be changed when [USB MODE] is set to [ON].

[USB MODE]

Turns operation of the mode selected in [USB MODE SELECT] [ON]/[OFF].

[ON], [OFF]

  • Factory setting: [OFF]

Once the power is turned off, it is always set to [OFF] the next time power is turned on.

When [DEVICE] is selected for [USB MODE SELECT] and [USB MODE] is set to [ON] (in USB device mode), the menu cannot be opened. In this case, you can exit the USB device mode (return to [OFF]) by pressing the <EXIT> mode.

For details, refer to “Connecting to a computer in the USB device mode”.

The setting cannot be changed while the thumbnail screen is displayed.

[NETWORK SEL]

Sets the connection method when connecting the camera with an external device (such as a computer) via network.

[WLAN]: Connects via wireless LAN.

[4G/LTE]: Connects via 3G/4G/LTE.

[LAN]: Connects via the <LAN> terminal.

[OFF]: Does not connect.

  • Factory setting: [OFF]

[NETWORK FUNC]

[HTTP SERVER]

Configures the settings regarding the HTTP server function.

[BROWSE]: Enables the P2 browser function.

[BROWSE (+CTRL)]: Enables the HTTP server function, starting and stopping recording at the terminal side, and preset control of time code or user bits.

[DISABLE]: Disables the HTTP server function.

  • Factory setting: [DISABLE]

[PLAYLIST]

Sets entering/exiting of the playlist edit mode.

[ON], [OFF]

  • Factory setting: [OFF]

[IP REMOTE]

[ENABLE]: Enables remote control with IP connection.

[DISABLE]: Disables remote control with IP connection.

  • Factory setting: [DISABLE]

Some functions can be remote controlled from the remote operation panel AK-HRP200G (optional) connected via IP. For details, refer to “Connecting to Remote operation panel (AK-HRP200G)”.

When [ENABLE] is selected, remote control from the extension control unit (AG-EC4G) or the remote operation panel AK-HRP200G (optional) connected to the <REMOTE> terminal is disabled.

[USER ACCOUNT]

Sets the user account name.

[ACCOUNT LIST]

Displays the currently set account name. Registering of new accounts, deleting accounts, or changing password can also be performed.

[FTP CLIENT SERVICE]

[SETTING DATA]

Sets the source from where client service settings are acquired.

[INTERNAL]: Uses the settings set on the camera.

[SD CARD]: Uses the settings of the file inside the SD memory card inserted in the SD card slot.

When this item is set to [SD CARD], insert an SD memory card before turning on the power of the camera.

Sets the name or address of the destination server.

  • [LOGIN USER]

Sets the login user ID.

  • [LOGIN PASSWORD]

Sets the login password.

  • [SSH]

Sets when transferring files using SSH.

[DISABLE]: Does not use SSH.

  • [SSH PORT]

Sets the network port number when SSH is used. Set to the same number as the server. The menu setting value is displayed with [*].

Loads the settings of the client service from the SD memory card.

Saves the settings of the client service onto the SD memory card.

[REC DURING UPLOAD]

Sets whether to use the rec during upload function.

[ENABLE]: Uses the rec during upload function.

[DISABLE]: Does not use the rec during upload function.

[AUTO UPLOAD]

Sets whether to enable the function to register clips recorded using the camera automatically to the upload list when recording stops, and if enabled, sets the type of target clip.

[REC CLIP(PROXY)]: Upload target is proxy data of recorded clips.

[REC CLIP]: Upload target is recorded clips (main recording data and proxy data).

[DISABLE]: Recorded clips are not upload targets.

[UPLOAD LIST]

Displays the list information of clips to upload.

[SAVE LOG (SD CARD)]

Save up to the latest 1000 logs for clip information (month and date, clip number (global clip ID), status) registered in the upload list to an SD memory card.

[STREAMING SETTING]

[START TRIGGER]

Sets the method for starting video streaming.

[CAMERA]: Starts/stops streaming from the camera.

[RECEIVER]: Operates the start/stop of the streaming distribution from the terminal on the network using the P2 Browser or the P2 Streaming Receiver.

[SETTING DATA]

When [CAMERA] is selected in [START TRIGGER], the streaming distribution is started/stopped from the camera.

[ON]: Starts streaming.

[OFF]: Stops streaming.

[HYTRON140], [DIONIC90], [ENDURA10], [PAG L96e]: Detects the battery charge level according to the selected battery when Anton/Bauer HYTRON140 or DIONIC90, IDX ENDURA10 (E-10), and PAG PAG L96e are selected.

[TYPE A], [TYPE B], [TYPE C]: Select either item when a battery other than [HYTRON140], [DIONIC90], [ENDURA10], and [PAG L96e] is used. At this time, set [FULL] (full voltage), [NEAR END] (near end warning voltage), and [END] (end voltage) in the main menu → [I/F SETUP] → [BATTERY SETTING] according to the battery in use.

[BATT STAT]: By selecting [BATT STAT] when using a battery whose charge level is detected as a percentage value, near end and end operations are conducted according to the percentage value of the charge level. Set the percentage value of [BATT STAT NEAR END] (near end) and [BATT STAT END] (end) in the main menu → [I/F SETUP] → [BATTERY SETTING] according to the battery in use.

[ENDURA STAT]: Select it when ENDURA battery by IDX is used to perform near end and end operations according to the percentage value of the charge level information. Set the percentage value of [ENDURA STAT NEAR END] (near end) and [ENDURA STAT END] (end) in the main menu → [I/F SETUP] → [BATTERY SETTING] according to the battery in use.

When the battery charge level percentage cannot be detected, it will follow the setting value of [TYPE A] even if it is set to [BATT STAT] or [ENDURA STAT]. [EXT DC IN SELECT]

Sets the type of charge level to connect a battery to the <DC IN> terminal. Also detects a charge level that corresponds to the selected type.
