Writing back from an FTP server to a P2 card (copy)

You can write back the selected clips from an FTP server on the network to a P2 card.

Display the FTP thumbnail screen

Select a clip to be copied.

Select one from [SLOT 1]/[SLOT 2]/[SLOT 3] in the main menu → [CLIP] → [COPY].

Press the control stick.

Copying starts.

When copying is completed, [COPY COMPLETED!] appears.

NOTE

Only clips that include audio and video of the main recording can be written back to the P2 card from the FTP server. Only proxy recording clips cannot be written back to the P2 card from the FTP server. (An error message [UNKNOWN CONTENTS FORMAT!] is displayed.)
Writing back only proxy clips can be performed to an SD memory card.
Refer to “Writing back from an FTP server to an SD memory card (import)” for the writing back procedure.
You cannot use only proxy recording clips that do not include video and audio of the main recording for normal usage such as playback and metadata editing.
Depending on the number of clips on the server and network conditions, it may take some time to display thumbnails or to copy them.
To cancel the copy process, use the control stick to place the cursor on [CANCEL] and press the control stick. Select [YES] when a [CANCEL] confirmation message appears, and then press the control stick. Clips copied halfway to the copy destination are deleted.
After copying starts, disconnection errors will no longer be detected. Cancel the copy operation if the copying progress has stalled.
Clips cannot be copied to the copy destination P2 card folder that contains more than 1000 clips.
To transfer clips using SSH, the FTP server must support SSH.
Using SSH will reduce the transfer speed.
After an error occurred during an operation such as copying, the FTP server may be disconnected and the operation can no longer be continued. In this case, return to the FTP explorer screen, display the FTP thumbnail screen again, and then restart the copying or another operation.
